Tips for a Successful NMU Online Application in 2026-2027:

Prospective undergraduate, postgraduate, and international students interested in joining Nelson Mandela University in the 2026 academic year are encouraged to apply online starting in April. NMU Online Application Dates For 2026-2027

The online application window for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Nelson Mandela University (NMU) 2026 will be open from April through to the 31st of October depending on the program you are applying for.

To ensure enough time for application, processing and planning by the university and yourself, online applications for early admission in 2026 should be submitted by:

• 30 June for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) & Bachelor of Radiography (BRad) applications.
• 02 August for Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) applications.
• 02 August for early applications (excluding MBChB & BRad).
• 31 October for late applications (excluding MBChB, BPharm & BRad).
• 30 September for international student applications.
• 31 October for ALL student housing applications.

NMU Postgraduate Online Application Date 2026:

• To allow sufficient time for application processing and planning, early admission applications for 2026 should be submitted by 2 August. As some qualifications have limited space, it is strongly recommended that you submit your application form and all supporting documentation as soon as possible.
• Late applications may be considered after this date, subject to availability in the course and academic merit, until 30 September

NMU Online Application Requirements For 2026-2027

Your online application form must be accompanied by:

• A certified copy of your final Grade 11 exam results or;
• A certified copy of your most recent Grade 12 (June/Sept) exam results (no March results), or
• A certified copy of your matriculation certificate/statement of results if you have already passed Grade 12/completed schooling,
  certified copies of your diploma/degree certificates plus academic record(s) and certificate(s) of conduct if you have studied elsewhere,
• A certified copy of your ID (birth certificate if still waiting for ID),
• A certified copy of the identity document of your parent/legal guardian/surety,
  declaration by your parent / legal guardian/surety if you are a dependant, currently at school, or studying at
• A tertiary institution, or have recently left school and do/will not have permanent employment when applying or studying at the University.

NMU Online Application Fee For 2026-2027

• There is no application fee for South African citizens applying to Nelson Mandela University, but international students are required to pay an application fee of R500
