The online application window for the 2026-2027 academic year at Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) is now open, inviting prospective students to apply for admission. MUT Online Application Requirements For 2026-2027
You will need the following to get started:
Application documents (for South African applicants):
- Grade 11 final results, grade 12 June exam results, National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
- Identity Document or ID card
- Students transferring from other universities should submit an academic record and a certificate of conduct.
Non-South African applicants:
- A valid passport
- A valid medical insurance cover
- Police clearance certificate
- SGCE, GCE, GCSE, IGCSE or Cambridge School Certificate
MUT Online Application Fees For 2026-2027
The application fee for Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) is R245 through the CAO, which covers applications to all registered higher education institutions in KwaZulu-Natal.
For registration, semester students pay a fee of R1,650, while annual students are charged R2,750. Upon accepting a firm offer, a payment of R500 is required, which is credited toward the registration fee. Proof of this payment is mandatory to complete registration.
Residence fees at MUT range from R4,120 to R11,150 per semester. It’s important to note that tuition and residence fees do not cover additional expenses such as travel, meals, stationery, or textbooks. Plan your finances accordingly to cover all costs of studying at MUT.
