UFS 20267-2027 Application Closing Dates:
- 31 May 2025: MB ChB, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Physiotherapy, Radiation Sciences
- 31 July 2025: Architecture, Biokinetics, Dietetics, Nursing, Social Work, Sport Coaching
- 31 August 2025: All Access Programmes (South Campus), sub-regions, and international undergraduate applications
- 30 September 2025: All non-selection programmes

UFS Online Application Documents And Requirements For 2026-2027
The following are the documents and requirements needed to apply for admission at the University Of Free State:
- Your ID if you are a South African citizen.
- Your passport if you are an international student.
- Your parent’s/guardian’s ID or passport if you are younger than 18.
- Final Grade 11 results or the equivalent thereof with the school’s stamp.
- Your mid-year Grade 12 results or the equivalent thereof.
- Grade 12 certificate or the equivalent thereof if you have already matriculated.
- A certificate of conduct and an official study record from the previous tertiary institution
- An academic record, only if you are/were a student at another accredited institution of higher learning
UFS Online Admission Entry Requirements For 2026-2027
To gain admission into UFS, take note of the following general requirements:
- Language of instruction on Level 3 (40%) for all options.
- Four subjects on Level 3 (40%-49%), excluding Life Orientation.
- In some programmes, the National Benchmark Tests (NBT) is compulsory for selection
- Level 4 (50%) is required for English Home Language or English First Additional Language.
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) or National Certificate: Vocational (NCV) Level 4, and an AP of 18.
