How To Check UP 2026-2027 Application Status

To check your application status, log in to the MyUP Portal and go to the Student Centre. If you have been conditionally or unconditionally admitted, use the Student Centre on the MyUP Portal to accept or decline your offer. Follow the steps below to check the status of your application;

  • Visit the UP Website
Go to www.up.ac.za.
  • Log in to MyTUKS
  • Click on MyTUKS Login.
  • Enter your username and password to access the UP Portal.
  • If you are a new user, select New User to set up your login credentials.
  • Set Your View
Ensure your view is set to Study Applicant.
  • Access the Student Centre
  • Navigate to the Student Centre and click on the link.
  • Select Admission Status to view your current application status.
  • Respond to Offers
If you have been admitted (conditionally or unconditionally), visit the Student Centre on the MyUP Portal to accept or decline your allocated place.

How To Set Up University of Pretoria My UP Login

To access UP systems, study applicants, students, staff, alumni, or authorized guests must first activate their UP Portal and create a UP Portal password. Follow the step-by-step guide below to active your students portal and create a new password for your students centre at the University of Pretoria;

  • Visit UP’s website: Go to www.up.ac.za.
  • Access the Login Page: Click on the “My UP Login” link to open the UP Login page.

For First-Time Users:

  • Click the “New User” button to access the setup page.
  • Enter your Username (provided to you) and your SA National ID or passport number.

Create Your Password:

  • Follow the password criteria displayed.
  • Enter your proposed password twice and click “Proceed”.

Set Up Challenge Questions:

  • Choose at least three security questions from the list.
  • Provide answers for each question and click “Save”.
  • You will receive a confirmation message. Click “OK” to complete this step.

Log In:

  • Return to the My UP Login page (either through the confirmation page or by navigating from www.up.ac.za).
  • Enter your Username and the Password you created, then click “Submit”.
